Beginner needs Help...

Hi Guys,

I am a total newbie it seems, I have used osc for about 18 months now and since installing the OSCMAX version i am a bit lost.

Anychance of a pointer to editing basics like header, header backgrouds etc... not asking for anyone to write loads just direct me if you can to some documentation.

First tip - there is no separate header file in osCMax. Edit main_page.tpl.php in whatever template you are using.

Was after some documentation on whats what, I have been thru the BTS documentation but it was not to informative for newbies.

Images? Browse the default AABOX site on your install, right click on images and find out their filenames. Go to main_page.tpl.php , use those filenames to figure out what the line is referencing, replace with your own.

Backgrounds? Edit the stylesheet.css in the same directory. Each category should have a title such as header or body. Find those categories, edit the colors to your preference, and add background images if you wish (background-image : url(../../images/yourimage.jpg).

By the way, there's no harm in banging around on the files if you back them up. Experiment with changing files and color codes.

Been playing with the stylesheet, thats for the tips.... its a running project
