    Default Remove Mo Pics

First please do not post about Wiki
or to just blank out the images_big setting within the admin or to remove the calls within product_info.tpl.php. That does not remove Mo Pics.

Enlarge image only works if Mo Pics is functioning.
Therefore I need to remove it entirely. Everything.

I still cant comprehend how you think Mo Pics is the better image handler.
You comment on if you have 50K images... my god. 2 folders of 50K images each. A nightmare to keep clean. No ability to file and categorize.
Plus, I am not aware of any GUI application that will allow a user to
correctly resize an image based on a percentage of the original. Sure you can batch process to a given size but then you will obtain images that are skewed.
Both GD and IM handle images far better.
hence the need for an image handler to use the auto create abilities of either. (preferably both- user choice) User can set the number of images easily (could be in admin so no need to add hard code) set sizes (physical or percentage)

Find the code in product_info.tpl.php commented with dynamic mopics and replace it with the original osCommerce code. That is the beauty of open source. Don't like something, you can change it.

You are incorrect though, changing the setting images_big to be blank will disable mopics from looking for big images. It will default to the single image attached to the product via the admin panel and display it with a popup. Works for me every time.

See my screenshots. They show the settings in the admin panel for dynamic mopics to work just like standard osCommerce . One image uploaded via the admin panel that gets displayed on the product page and is clickable and pops when you click it.

The second screen shot shows the popup actually working.

I am mysterious, and sometimes incomprehensible. I'll give you that.

All pre-set before uploading. All numbered and named down to the digit. Perfectly easy to maintain. If you know the product model number, you know the image name...simple. Then add the image sequence number and batch number to the name. How easy is that? too easy. No nightmares here. And no long hours fussing with images either. You should see how easy it is to find an image. If I need to remove an image from a product or add more to a product, I don't even have to login to the admin panel. Just name the file and upload it. Done.

Any decent batch image processor will allow you to resize to one dimension and let the other fall to the correct proportion. There is nothing complicated about it. I do it daily on hundreds of images without any issues whatsoever. Say you have 10 images, just tell the batch processor to set the x to 100 and let y fall to proportion. Now you will get all images with the same x and correctly proportioned y so that there is no skewing.

Not all servers have GD or ImageMagick. You think it is easier to install either of those thant to change one or 2 settings in the admin panel?
