Hello everyone. I'm hoping someone can help me out here. I want to purchase one of the templates from the store for osCMax, but I'm wondering if all of the information boxes are included in the design, or just the ones in the Demo. I'd like to add and remove certain info boxes from the design. Also, in osCMax's admin side, you can place the infoboxes on the left or on the right, however, the templates I am considering also have info boxes on the bottom. How are these dealt with within the admin side?

I am also piling onto this message and have a few questions: I actually purchased a template from the template store here at OSC max, and I'm having a problem with the infoboxes not being compatible with the BTS system. The template said that it's for OSCmax RC2 BTS. I have installed RC3. I have read in another post that RC2 and RC3 are the same when it comes to the infobox and BTS system implementation. Other people in the past have had roblem getting their infobox admin implementations to work, and the site admin's told them to reference the instructions for installing the infobox admin. I have and the instructions for this are a little sketchy as to how to handle the infoboxes with the BTS system. OK here goes: 1) Since I purchased the template from this store (even though it's a stock template provided by another site through oscmax.com as an affiliate), I would like to see either the template be revised to conform to OSCMax RC2 BTS as it has stated, or have the administrators post up a step by step instruction on how to make the templates conform to the current installation. 2) If the instructions can't be done relatively quickly, please throw this dog a bone and give me a direction as to what to do with the boxes and templates here on the forum so I'm not going round without at least a little bit of guidance. 3) I appreciate all the hard work that has gone into making OSCmax and want to give kudos to the admins for making improving everything on the site. Thanks for the help. Last edited by fourmat; 01-29-2007 at 01:44 PM.

Michael replied pm'd, and said that https://algozone.com/shop/login.php?...4fd5a5043a46b6 provides all of the templates for osCMax, and that they have all the technical details. I'm going to ask them now.

Hi David, Yeah, they do and I went ahead and purchased through OCSMax.com to give them the revenue. I have been in contact with the guys at TEMPLATE-FAQ, which I am sure is the affiliate front for algozone, and they sent me several files right away. Though the files only partially fixed the problem, I'm much closer than I was before. The files fixed the infobox admin settings, but now I realize that the template didn't include a box provision for the Article Manager, so I'm waiting to hear back from them on what to do there.

Fourmat, May I ask, where there extra infoboxes that you could choose (and worked) that were not already activated for your template? Or were you pretty much stuck with what they gave you? I just sent them a message at Algozone, and I'm waiting for their response. Funny thing, is that I went into an online support chat session with Template-FAQ and someone named Simon said they don't carry osCMax templates. I hope it wasn't some random person lying to me. Thanks in advance, David

davidAMS, If you perform a base installation of OSCMax, it comes with standard templates that allow all of the boxes to work properly. Using that as a base, you can enable all of the infoboxes that are includes in the infobox admin function in the admin screen. This includes: best sellers search affiliate categories manufacturers information currencies what's new wishlist loginbox articles tell a friend specials shopping cart reviews product notifications order history manufacturer info Authors I am not trying to do anything custom or special here in regards to the boxes or anything. The templates that are listed in the OSCMax template store say that they are OSCMax RC2 BTS compatible, so I would have expected them to be so. In reference to your conversation withteh TEMPLATE-FAQ guy, it sounds like someone needs to get their story straight with respect to the compatibility and availability of the proper templates. There seems to be a lot of contradictory information floating around. I don't mind working on a few things to customize a store to get it up and running (since this is an open source project), but if someone is going to sell something that is supposed to work out of the box with a base installation, I'd hope it works. While it does sound like I'm complaining, (which I am a little bit), so far I'm pretty happy with everything because it seems like everyone wants to make things right. We'll see if we get all of the problems worked out. I'm not sure about the boxes on the bottom. It would be nice to have these, but I haven't seen anything in OSCmax that lets that happen, though I might have missed something. (If I have missed something beat me over the head and wake me up please) I think what has happened there is that the demo's and screen shots of Templates provided are based on either a CRELoaded or a base OSC MS2.2 installation, rather than what is actually installed or OSCMax capable.

Thanks for the info Fourmat. I hope the templates provided in the live demos are what are actually given to me. It's good to hear that all (or at least most) of the boxes are provided with each templates. Well, as soon as they answer this question I'll purchase one of the templates here at the osCMax store. And I'll let you know what it gives me (I'm looking at the ones with the infoboxes along the bottom). I'm fine with some customization, but I wanna know what I'm getting myself into first.

Well, I have to say that I'm impressed with the responsiveness of the Template folks. I emailed them about the other small problems with the templates that I purchased, and within an hour they got back to me and had a solution attached. They even offered to FTP into my system if I was still having problems. Everything seems to be working just fine now. Now I can go through and start messing things up on my own without having the template guys to blame.. Based on this experience, I have to give a positive recommendation of the templates offered here. davidAMS, let me know about the bottom center boxes....

| Algozone is top notch, that is why we partnered with them. I have always been impressed with the quality of their templates, and the quality of the support they provide for them. Note, the live chat is not for osCMax templates. If you notice, there is no live chat link on the actual osCMax templates page, only on the osCommerce, CREloaded and Zencart pages. I will update the other store pages to be more explicit about what templates the chat support is actually for. Sorry for any confusion this has caused.

Thanks Michael. No problem, it was only a few minutes. I logged off right after he told me that they don't carry them
