Default Register Globals Contribution

Hi
Anyone know about this issue.
I have a clean install of oscmax v2 and I had to install the register globals mod as my host disabled it.

Everything is working apart from changing the default username and password in the admin section to secure the website.

When I try to change it by clicking on the "my account/password" link using it doesn't offer the facility to alter the fields.

So at the moment I am stuck with the default username and password.

Can you change it by sql???

The page is admin/admin_account.php?action=edit_process

Default Re: Register Globals Contribution

First, I have to ask, have you followed this method to try to change the pw:
osCommerce Documentation by OSCdox :: osCommerce and osCMax installation and users manual, discussion forums (phpWiki)

Next, if you have done it this way, did you install the register_globals patch package for osCMax or did you manually install it.

Finally, have you checked your error logs to see if php or mysql is kicking back an error message?
