I'm wondering how hard it would be to put catagories into the Attributes Manager. I think this would be a very nice addition to a very useful addon. I'm not the best with PHP but I will help any way I can.

Not sure what you mean here. Categories have NOTHING to do with and item's Attributes.... How would you corliate a category to an attrib - or more to the point WHY?
I think he is referring to the new attributes manager. Currently it just creates one long list of all products in a dropdown. If you have many products it can take forever to just find it.
It would be nice to have a category select box, that then populates the product dropdown select box with the products from that category. I do not know of any updates to this mod that will allow that though.

Im in the process of looking for something like this right now.
BUT I want to be able to give all products within a category a set of attributes.
Since attributes are countable via QTPro it should be a standard that if you have say a category for T-Shirts you could assign "T-Shirt Sizes" attribute to category T-Shirts.
The "T-Shirt Sizes" option has values set
like Sm,MED,LG, XL etc. So instead of having to set each one multiple times for every item. You just tell it to do it for the entire category. And remember it dosen't show attribute if no stock is attached so no biggie if it doesn't come in a particular size.
Unfortunately stock tracking is where
OSC lacks the most.
