Default DHTML menu doesn't work. Help!!

I am getting really frustrated, i am trying to get the DHTML menu to work however my catalog just disappears each time i try to turn it on. I have been ignoring this problem for months now and i can't ignore it any longer. I have over 9000 products and the DHTML menu would help for navigation purposes.

I just installed the newest oscmax v2 with a new database and all new files and i thought it could be some corruption in my files or database the first time i installed months ago, but the new install didn't do anything. It never has. I have installed many versions and tried it on ie and firefox but nothing.

Could it be my hosting service blocking something? Am i the only one having this problem? Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated?

Default RE: DHTML menu doesn

check your error logs first... post if you have an error message in there... Also turn off seo urls, clear the cache and page cache and make sure they are turned off...

One other note, the dhtml menu is not recommended for large inventory/category sites. It loads very slowly...

Default

Thanks for your quick response.

Unfortunately i am with a shared hosting service. They extracted what they could of the error logs but wasn't anything in there to help with my problem. I also had seo urls already off, and cleared my cache and page cache they were turned off as well.

The strange thing is i did a new install with a new database with the latest version and i have never got this to work. The only thing i can think of is my hosting service is blocking something, but what? If everybody else is able to get this to work by just installing then i would think it is my hosting service.

Do you have any more suggestions on what i could try?

thanks
