Removing requests bar & New Products for Nov, width prob

Hi,

1. How do I remove the date/requests bar at the bottom of the page?

2. How do I remove the "New Products for November" box?

3. I'm having a width problem when customizing the main_page.tpl.php template page. osC defaults to a 750px width but the header graphic I'm using is only 700px so I'm trying to adjust everything to a 700px width. I sized all the osCMAX graphics and set the table widths in main_page.tpl.php to 700 but something is still holding the width at 750. What am I overlooking?

I figured out 1 and 3. I just need to know how to remove the "New Products for November" box? I figured it would be in admin but I don't see it.

I figured it out. For anyone who needs to know open templates/fallback/content/index_default.tpl.php and change the line

<?php include(DIR_WS_MODULES . FILENAME_NEW_PRODUCTS); ?>

to

<?php // include(DIR_WS_MODULES . FILENAME_NEW_PRODUCTS); ?>
