Remove access to shopping cart

I know this might sound a little silly however at this stage I want to create a showcase website where I can display my wares and invite customers to create an account and sign up for a newsletter. While I do want to display my product lines from my bricks & mortar store, I don't want to conduct online sales (not yet anyway).
Is there a simple way of locking out (commenting out) access to the shopping cart in oSCMax?

Comment/Remove the HTML/PHP code that displays the cart, account, and buy buttons and such.....

Instead of commenting/removing stuff, especially if you may want to use it in the future, why not set all items to nil stock. That way, you can still see them, but not buy them. You could even change the comment to call 123123 or see in store or something.

That way if you do want to use it later, all you do is add stock levels.
