Default New User Question on Look_Feel

I'm going through the forum but thought I'd beg a quick reply. How much flexibility do I have with regards to moving cart modules around. Can my main cart page have several images that have links attached to them? My client will have a fashion store and would like four images - denim, skirts, etc...that link to those category pages.

Can I reposition the left column and right column modules? Can I shift the modules in those columns above and below each other?

Can I start with a blank page and install the various modules wherever I want them.

I'm building this clients website as a favor to a friend (http://www.shopatcake.com) and would like to keep the same look/feel of the site. I was able to do this but would also like to rearrange the modules.

I can handle some PHP, am ok with HTML and everything else...

Thanks so very much for any help / advice.

Tom
