| I have been comtemplating giving my site a complete redesign. I have always designed sites using tables, but after alot of reading I am considering moving to a completely CSS based site. My reasoning is: Faster Page Loads Transparent Printer Friendly Pages Mobile Phone Friendly Site (maybe) Easier modification of the site Better recognition by search engines Also, I want to do away with the javascript based coolmenu. It is always the slowest thing to load on my site. I am thinking of rewriting it using CSS. Maybe I'll just make it static instead of dynamic for simplicity. I want speed, fast load times, and high accessibility. Those are the main goals. Currently I'm using a modified version of the stock AABox template, but I think this is a move in the right direction. I'm new to CSS and have been reading and practicing alot to get used to it and see its true power. What are your opinions on this and what recommendations do you have for me? I'm still early in developement so there is plenty of time to change flow if I need to |
