Default osCMax V2.x Template

Hi there,

I am helping a friend who has an osCMax site up and running. He wants to create a separate sandbox to experiment in. I've created a separate install of osCMax for him, but for me to match his current site, I need to install the same template. So my questions are these...

1) How can I identify what template is being used on an existing site?

2) Is it possible to transfer a template from one site to another? i.e. can I just grab some collection of files from the one site, and apply them to another?

3) What is the air-speed velocity of an un-laden swallow?

Thanks,
John Schank

John:

1. Look in Admin configuration Default template directory. This will tell you what template the site is using.

2. Yes, just grab all the files in whatever template directory you are using and copy them over the the new shop...

3. The average cruising airspeed velocity of an unladen European Swallow is roughly 11 meters per second, or 24 miles an hour.

Thanks, for the reply! Now I just need to figure out how to get access to his hosted files. But I guess that part is his problem. Anyway the swallow question was the most important.

The problem is the conversion.....Europeans use metic - not imperal.....

so 11meter per sec which is about 40km per hour... Which for this amount is WRONG... .

Note there is a slight differnce between species: Bank, Barn, Cave, Cliff, Northern Rough-winged, Purple Martin, Tree, Violet-green Swallows. Speed will also sligtly differ for the Amercian Swallows vers the European.

But according to Audubon Society Encyclopedia of North American Birds by J. Elliott they have an estimates maximum speed 40 to 50 mph

Or about 64kph or 18meters per sec. to 80kph or 22meters per sec.

Please us these corrected speed - not the false one Michael gave....

Good Luck with your BIRDING(and PHPing....)!

I've been making many templates for lots of customers... and I'm trying to streamline my productivity. It seems like if I go a couple weeks without doing a template I forget where all the pertinent files are.

Does anybody have a list or files archive of the files that you would most likely want to edit to create a template? Or any advice?

Thanks
