Default File Upload

Are there any good mods for enabling a customer to upload a file. For example: In my business I do custom work that may require a customer to send me a graphic file. Instead of making them do this in an email, I would like to enable them to do it through the website.

Default RE: File Upload

File Upload .7 (for PA - Option Type Feature)
http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,1540
This is a file upload utility for use as an attribute on the product_info.php page. Using the standard HTML upload utility (FILE box with a browse button), one can upload a file and link it to a product as an attribute.

You will also need:
Product Attributes - Option Type Feature (OTF)
http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,160

And just to NOTE - YOU HAVE A CONFLICK WITH QTPRO that is already installed in OSCMAX 2.0..

I am working on puting features of QTPRO into OTF....(Eary next year I will work on it - too busy with work now)

You could install this and over write the conflicking code (remove QTPRO).....

Good Luck!

Hi,

Once uploaded, how are the files accessed by the admin?

How can the customer see that there are files uploaded for his order?

Can the customer change the files after he has uploaded them? Can the customer download the files he has uploaded?

Thanks.

No the customer can't change/access there files - it is simple to EMAIL a change if need be....

As for the files them selves - look in your UPLOADS directory....

There is NO admin interface for these files....however I have not used this mod and it might give you a URL in the ADMIN to the file....Not sure....

Try it out!

Good Luck
