Default So Many Queries so little time

Because I sell mostly one off items on my site, whenever I mark a product inactive it makes it unavailable for the review function.
It takes up product space and looks tacky to leave it there marked SOLD in order to be able to review it.
Does anyone know a way around it. So that I can remove the product from the catalog after it has been reviewed and get the review and image to stick?

2/Also when I go to my site as punter and click on the product I get a line at the end of the descpription that says
For more information, please visit this products webpage.
When I click on that it takes me to other peoples sites?
Does anyone understand what is happening?

3/Also In admin when I check the product counter it is merely adding one to every item each time someone checks anything out? Is this normal?

4/Also When I load up many products in one catagory the listing shows up with numbers 1-10 coming up after 12etc,1, 21etc,2, 32etc,3
How van I get it to stay in numerical order? Do I have to add a 0 before the number?

5/Also when doing a search as a punter on my site if I ask for say , M2 ,
I get anything with a m or a 2 in it even though I am being specific. Is this normal?

6/Also why is there not a Search in the admin for the same purpose Ie:
If I want to get to S6 it would be quicker than gong catagory , catagory , and then getting the drop down.

Any assistance will be gratefully accepted.
    Cheers D

    1. I dont know of any way around this. You either enable products or disable them. If disabled, they are completely invisible to customers.

    2. Yes, you have specified the products url when creating the product. If you don't want to link to these other sites, do not add a products url when creating the product in the admin.

    3. What product counter? Be more specific, like what section of the admin and what link you click to get there.

    4. Not understanding this one. Can I see a page as to what you are describing.

    5. I do not see this result. Say I search for abs, it only returns products that have the letter combo 'abs' in it. When I do a search for ms2 it only returns products that have the word 'ms2', but not products that only have an m or and s or a 2. It must have the whole word 'ms2'

    6. There is a search box, just above the drop down in the admin. Leave the category set to Top and then enter your search term. It will look through all categories to find your term. Does exactly what you want.

    Hi,

4.Ok, I get it now! Yes you need to add a zero as the leading digit or it will not be in order.

5.Regarding the search results, that is the correct results that I would expect, as you are searching for anything with M1 in it, and all of those results contain M1. If you want more refined searching, you would need to specify M10 (that should return only 2 results), M11 (only 1 result). In order for your results to be more focused, your original search needs to be more focused.

    Hi,

    Excellent Thank you.

    One more question please.
Although I have only processed 10 orders thru my site ( yeah pathetic heh)
the latest order that came through was #48. When I ran through a check as a customer
little while later I got #50. Is there an order history I can check that details allll the orders?
    Regards

Thes are orders that people have not gone thougth the checkout process (like window shoppers) - they put stuff in there carts and cancel out of or just to see how much shipping would be or just cause they can...then go elseware or don't follow thought to acually doing the checkout/payment....

As for maybe following up with these possable lost sales...osCMax has a module called:Recover Cart Sales

Which is supost to help you maybe to increase sale - by contacting the customers and see why they abandoned there purchase....it also shows all the "abandoned carts".

    Look in ADMIN>REPORTS>Recover Cart Sales

when a someone goes in to look at any product.
Again a I missing somethng in my coding maybe?

    Default recover carts

See the screenshot below. If your admin doesnt look like this, you are not running oscmax 2 (I added the purple highlight for emphasis, it is not part of oscmax2)...
