Newsletter and Subscribers Addon

My client would like visitors to be able to subscribe to a newsletter without having to signup. I have looked into the above contribution; however, it looks as though it is going to be quite a job. Has anyone installed this contibution or know of a better one that will give the same result?

There are a numbr of these fr MS2.2 but nothing for OSCMAX and none of the ones for OSC have been crated using the STS which is a shame. I had a go this morning but failed misserably.
