Default Looking for

Hi ,
I cannot find catalog/includes/languages/english/mainpage.php
under catalog in my admin.
It is not under the heading catalog.
I am trying to change my main page and have checked the quide and various threads in forums and I cannot for the life of me find this.
Any ideas why?
Thanks in advance.

To edit the main page center content click on Define Mainpage in the admin under the Catalog section.

If there is no link, you are either not running osCMax 2 or your installation is not correct. It is there by default on ALL new installs.

Thank you.
Is there a way to not show date product added or last update?
