    Default Default Images

    Hi,
Does anyone know how I get rid of the osC templates default horrid image?
I delete the image files that come with the template but now I just get a x where the images should be and I have had to replace with hearts but it took me ages to replace each image.

    Thanks

There is only ONE "default" "osC" LOGO -unless your using the default "AABOX" template....

Change your template! Try changing it to the CSS-fluid or to a NEW blank directory then in your editor make your main_page.tmp.php using the one of the defaults as a starting point.

If you use the CSS-fluid - then change the logo image link in the CSS file to your own.

REMEMBER - if you REMOVE/DELETE an image for a web page that EXPCETS it to exist you WILL get the red X for EACH missing image. This is NOT the way to do it.... try replacing the "horrid" image with a 1 pixel transparent graphic then the red X's are no more.... THEN edit the template as you feal fit.....

    Hi,
Sorry, the images I meant are the ones that come with all the templates i.e Write a Review and table background images. that are on the top right of the pages.
    Sample:-http://www.heaven-design.co.uk/shop/catalog/

    Hi,
Yes there the images I'm trying to get rid off rather than having to replace with my own images as takes some time.

For those who would like to replace background or button images, and either don't have the time, ability or software to create their own, it's worth checking out what's available on the osC contributions site. Follow this link:

    http://www.oscommerce.com/community/...ons/category,9

Download any that take your fancy and upload them to the appropriate directory on your server.

Remember to keep a back-up copy of the originals - just in case.

    Default RE: Default Images

I have made all my own buttons and graphics just didn't want the default backgrounds and have seen alot of sites without these hence me wondering how to get rid without having to replace every single image and icon.

Note: osCMax has alot of extra CONTRIBS with more button than a stock osC site. Many buttons may be not in the files at that url - better off maybe using them as a guide then create your own or add to what they have....
