Cool Menu disappears behind Attrib Drop down box

When using CoolMenu, the menu expands BEHIND my attributes drop down box. I'm assuming this is a z-index issue. I have set the z-index of cool menu to 999 in file coolmenu.php, but this had no effect. Does anyone know of a fix for this or where I can set the z-index of the drop down list?

In an answer to my own question, any SELECT list builds a modal or WINDOWED box, of which the z-index attribute cannot be applied, so in essence, the product attribute box will always be displayed in the front, based on the z-index of the parent window. With this in mind, I would assume that I could put the Attribute list in an IFRAME with a lower z-index. Problem then is making a seperate source file for the attribute list...

I'm sure I'm not the only one that has run into this problem.

Does anyone have any input or suggestions?

While I don't have the answer for you I would like to hear your final solution if you find one. Seems Coolmenu has not worked very well with Max.
