Dynamic MoPics, How does it work?

I know this question may seem ridiculous, but I have never used Oscommerce or any other PHP technology. I am viewing the admin for Dynamic MoPics in OSCMAX 2.0. I see how to define the directories but how do you associate images with product? To the untrained eye this modules function isn't apparent.
