[osCmax V2.0.25] Add Text Field or Combo Box to Checkout Page

Hello, everyone. I am nearly new to OSCMax administration, and I have successfully set up and put live a new store recently. My client made a feature request recently asking to add a field to the checkout page that would allow their customers to type or select their sales rep before paying. Is their a way to do this that I have been missing within stock OSCMax, or would I need to add another module/have one developed to support this request? I am using OSCMax v.2.0.25 still and have not made any major modifications to it, for your information.

This would need custom coding ... or you could ask them to enter the information in the comments box ...

It is not hugely complicated ... I would suggest simply adding a drop down select field (hard coded with your sales reps names) and then simply concatenate this to the comments field.

I know RidexBuilder from ejSolutions does a bit of bespoke work for a reasonable fee ...

I may just do that. I have another quick question regarding the comments field. Is it possible to change the attributes for the comments field (e.g. required, default text) within the Admin panel, or does it need to be done at a database-wide level? Thanks for the quick reply and helpful info!
