Hi
I've been working with Check Permissions and Site Monitor for my osCmax 2.5 testing setup and decided to make my life easier that I'd put the two together.
As a temporary place I've uploaded the .zip at my blog site and I'd like some feedback from users who will test the install and make sure that I've not done stupid thing(s). Tonys Tech Blog » Blog Archive » osCmax Security contrib
What you should have is a simple single install for both the contribs.
It provides the changes that I made to Check Permissions to save and edit the file and directory permissions to the database and now also recognises the files that Site Monitor wants to write to, namely the config and the logs.
Both Check Permissions and Site Monitor appear in the Security menu and I've updated the various settings to the core files of osCmax 2.5 (svn from two days ago) so that a fresh install does not even require file editing
Finally, I called it osCmax-Security-2.5 which is probably a bit presumptuous and if someone has a better/more appropriate moniker for it, please let me know.
I am going to look at osc_sec, IP Trap and other security oriented contribs to see if there are any other synergies.
cheers
Tony
