ssl is not working in ie

i have add ssl in website, i purchase ssl in godaddy it is working properly in firefox but is not working in ie i have add this code in .htaccess
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} 80
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://www.example.com/$1 [R,L]
i did not update website now but here is link of my website main page with https

i do what u say but see here https://www.hiphopville.com/testsite1/index.php? it is working fine in firefox but in internet exploere it is showing error other thing is that i am using 2.5 version

You do NOT need to have SSL on this page - reread the wikis and remove the crap from .htaccess.

i have remove that from .htaccess, can u send me wiki link what should i read and other thing is that if there is some serious problem then it should show in both firefox and internet explorer why it is just showing in internet explorer?
