[osCmax V2.0.25] Need help ! Website will not publish ! "illegal template directory"

Ok - here's the situation - i have 2 websites -bought through nexx.com - one called Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce - with an upgrade and zencart shopping cart - and this website works great - thank you - i just bought last week another website - www.mycheapwholesale.com also through nexx.com - and this time decided to use osc shopping cart for a different look - but now here is where the problem is - the nexx.com webcreator and also the osc creator has hung up on something - when i go to finally publish - a screen shows up saying - "illegal template directory" - on both the nexx webcreator - and also when i go through osc to publish to the web - can anyone help me get this cleared up ? I am losing my mind today !
Also why does the osc cart show 3 flags and boxes on the product category pages ? I only want to sell in the u.s.a. - i do not want to have to fill in all 3 boxes for every item ! - standing by for help - leon

Hint: when you get "hung up on something" then odds are that your install did not go clean. The problem is, you seem to be using a very low cost web host, and that doesn't bode well for getting the levels of service and support necessary to determine just what failed and how. The osCmax install is fairly simple. It creates the database and fills the configure.php files in the catalog/include and admin/include.

seems to indicate that you are able to get in in the admin. So, it looks like the install created the database properly and the configure.php, at lest on the admin side, is working. That means that you should be able to go into configure and start the configuration. If that is the case, then you may want to look at the templates and make sure you are set to use fallback. If you are getting the error message in the catalog with it set using fallback, then I would start my investigation making sure that the templates directory is there and that the fallback directory is under templates.

In bts-configure.php

// 'Input Validated' only allow alfanumeric characters and underscores in template name

Therefore your template directory contains illegal characters - letters, numbers and underscores only.

Open your admin panel - Goto Configuration -> My Store -> Change your template back to fallback and see if your store works ... then fix the name of the template -> change. If you still have issues post back.
