feature request - add extra fields to contact form page

Without modifying the contact us page to death, would it be easy to add a few more optional fields to the contact us page. Businesses may want to show more information.

Probably a v2.6 change ... otherwise we are never going to get v2.5 out!

If you're talking about v 2.6, i think it would be great to have wysiwyg editor on the "Contact Us Form" in the admin. And on that same page in the admin, have the following fields...

Departments: (options)
Reason for Enquiry: (options)
Show store opening hours:
Store opening hours text:
Show email address:
extra text field1:
extra text field2:
extra text field3:
extra text field4:

Make each field a <div> block with ids like <div id="contact01">...,<div id="contact02"> this way developers can position the divs via css. no page hacking

guys, before we get too far afield here,

Are we looking at an e-mail program or a CRM component for osCmax?

As we go, we already have a partial CRM solution with "customers" in that they can comment on their order and you can create a dialog on the orders. I have decided that I LOVE the functionality, but LOATH the way it works on changing status (I don't believe that the customer should be able to change the status of an order) so I am working on a notification solution on the admin side rather than status change. In addition, I have a "contact us store block" that is hacked in in my old 2.0 osCmax that I will be releasing as a "mod" for 2.5 after formal release that adds a few item to config and then allows you to display the block at the bottom of the contact us page (address, hours, phone/fax, etc).

So, it looks like you are asking for departments/reasons (really the same thing in my mind as the two go together). Anything beyond that really seems to be getting into a more full blown CRM solution, and it may be better to just create hooks that play with some of the open source solutions that exist out there rather than cobbling a half-assed homegrown one to osCmax.

met00 its just a few more extra fields that give store owners flexible options on how to describe their business contact page. I think it will benefit us greatly.
