Place Infobox only on non-SSL pages

I've studied how infoboxes can be placed in specific pages with "if" statements (i.e. "Reviews" infobox appearing on Product pages only). However, I have a 3rd party API installed inside a custom infobox that I must place only on non-SSL pages (e.g. the home catalog page, product pages, etc.) as to prevent browser security warnings when the API is invoked. Explanation for this is long so I will not provide herein. So what specific code do I use within this custom box.php (and/or elsewhere) so that the infobox only appears on non SSL (non https) pages?

Suggest looking at the default code for the top menu items eg. Account and Checkout, which looks at SSL.
