Product Short Description for osCMax ?

Hello,

I'd like to add a short description on the product listing page.

I tried the mods available for that in OsCommerce contrib pages, but one of them didn't work, on the other one the instructions were based on OsCommerce and the code inside product_listing.php was already modified by osCMax and the 3rd on I tried crashed my db.

Any ideas ?

I can create a new field in the products_descriptions table, and then add a query to product_listing.php; then I could simply use that in the case 'PRODUCT_LIST_NAME': section of that file.

I think I get the functionality, but I don't know how to write the code to accomplish this.

Can somebody help me please ?

Damn, I just did it on my own...

I'm using 2.0.15. Where do I download that 2.5 ?

Is it safe ?

I have made several modifications to the code so far; how do I upgrade without screwing everything ?

I see the last download version is 2.0.25; I can't find this 2.5beta1 you mention.

Just to warn you v2.5 should not be used for live stores as it is currently Beta and will need some bugs ironing out of it.

OK then. I was thinking about upgrading to 2.0.25, but I think I'll wait until stable release of 2.5; what do you think ?

Is there a 'step by step' instructions to upgrade (I don't know how it's called), to avoid screwing with the modifications I did on some files ?

I could just upload the files I'm sure I didn't touch and modify by hand the ones I did change.
