Creating slide show on mainpage

I try to make slide shows on top of main page define but I can't locate the file which include the codes, any help please?

and then take a look at salebanner.jpg on the top(you can locate it on page resource. how can I locate the codes to change that and if this version has already has the codes can you please adress me.
