    Post reCAPTCHA for osCMax

    Hi Guys,

Its probably already been done 100 times already but theres no harm in asking.

Just a quick question to see if anyone has been looking for a way to add reCAPTCHA (reCAPTCHA: Stop Spam, Read Books) to their osCMax store.

Namely adding this feature to their contact_us.php page, although it can be added to any specific page that requires fields to be filled out and confirmed by the end user.

Its not rocket science to add this to the standard osCMax package and im pretty sure most of you could work it out quite easily, but it may be of help to some of those less skilled in .html and .php

If i get enough requests i will repackage this as a zip/rar file for osCMax 2.0.25 users.

** Forgive me if its already been posted loads of times **

    Hi Guys,

Any difference or significantly better than the one from two years ago?

The version ive implemented uses the reCAPTCHA as found at the following address:- reCAPTCHA: Stop Spam, Read Books. This does mean that for each new domain the reCaptcha facility is used on, the user will have to sign-in to Google and add their domain and have Google create the public and private keys for the reCAPTCHA to work.

This reCaptcha uses version 1.11 recaptchalib PHP library (Downloads - recaptcha - Project Hosting on Google Code) and can be added to the page and set-up to validate via AJAX or JavaScript. Its also very easy to change the theme and create custom skins for using CSS.

Thanks PGM, good to hear its been implemented in V2.1.

Once i have the osCMax solution im currently working on 90% complete ill let you both take a look at it, its looking great at the moment. Would love some feedback.

    Laters guys....
