Text Imprint - OTF alternative for osCMax

Not the intended method of implementation but nonetheless this will allow for custom text input.
Consider this (first?) attachment to be a Beta version and report back on its success or otherwise.

Installation - type 1
An installed copy of osCMax 2.0.25 - take a backup.
Upload all files to replace those in catalog.
Use phpmyadmin to import the included install.sql file.
Admin, File Access, Double Click on Catalog, select text_attributes.php, Save

Installation - type 2
Download latest osCMax 2.0.25
Replace downloaded files with the supplied files.
Install as normal.

Sorry, English only at this point, though should be easy to update.

Late last night (UK time), done a drop-in for a client's development site (the main driver for all of this) and it worked immediately. Awaiting client feedback...

Looking at the date of the last entry and no comments on this, it doesn't surprise me that there's a lack of drive to implement this properly.

Finally got around to installing this on the 2.5 rc1 version but when I go to admin I dont see it anywhere. Where should it be?

Currently, there is no RC2 version - the RC1 version may work but hasn't been tried/tested. It's one thing to do a quick compare of files but it takes time/effort to document changes to individual files. I don't have that luxury for a 'giveaway', when I have a few other projects on the go.
If I'm bored one night, I may get around to it but being an unofficial 'kludge' it's low priority (at the present time) - unless one of my clients desperately needs it.

I could do with a review of Product Attributes and finally get it working the correct way - one day.

Hi came across this thread for inserting a text field into a product so that customer can type in a label name etc. have followed instructions and seem to have inserted correctly as 'text attributes' appears in the admin area and I have been able to insert them into a product - see Modern Bookbinders : Gold Labels - $0.72

I have then gone ahead and done a test order and while the order comes through and the attributes selected can be seen throughout the checkout stage the customer and merchant emails do not show the text attributes selected, nor do they show in the admin area. The order of the product comes through fine it is just that the text attributes do not show.

Any advice / thoughts appreciated.

I currently don't have a 'Max 2.0.25 site with it installed, so unable to test at present time.
