UPDATE!

Found the original problem:

At the instruction page http://wiki.oscdox.com/adding_new_dynamic_content_pages

2.2 Open /admin/includes/boxes/catalog.php
Find:

tep_admin_files_boxes(FILENAME_DEFINE_SHIPPING, BOX_CATALOG_DEFINE_SHIPPING) .

**NOTE** DEFINE_SHIPPING happens to end with ));
I duplicated the line by copying & pasting to separate line and then changing reference of SHIPPING to WHATEVER

Problem was, the line should have ended with ) .

The joys of C&P... easy to do and just as easy to miss the obvious. (I guess we all do it at some point.)
