help with product attribute option values

for some odd reason my product attribute option values show up twice whenever i create a new one in the admin. but it doesnt appear twice in the database or on the store front. does anyone have any ideas what would be causing that?

Just to clarify...my $value_id on my products attributes page in the admin is being duplicated every time i add a new value, so yeah, it is showing up twice in my database. I have no idea why its doing that.

Fixed my own problem by emptying my attributes table in the database and starting fresh with attribute values again. Maybe a glitch with one of my field values in that table or something.
