Keep the global search. It is very important in speeding up workflow for me and I would guess others. If I can immediately search for whatever I am looking for without clicking a new page, it makes me very happy.

I use several other billing applications, and the one I work with daily has a global smart search and it is my favorite feature. Super time saver.
