Top Navigation Bar Changes

Hi all,

Thank you for reading this. I am completely new to php, but do know html and some css. I am trying to put together a store as I learn. Mothballs in the Attic :

I have made quite a few basic changes, but I cannot figure out how to change the width of the narrow top navigation bar (Top > Catalog >).

Also having trouble editing link color in this bar only.

And lastly, which file do I edit to center the entire main page? If this is a php edit, please be detailed...

Look in your template stylesheet ...

The main page centering,size etc is in main_page.tpl.php
