Changing newest products of the current month to just the latest products

The shopping cart is currently set to show the current new products for the month. However, I don't plan on coming up with that many new products so after this month all the products from the previous month (if I'm correct) will disappear from the homepage which is not what I want. I always want there to be random products on my homepage. How do I set it to where the products on the homepage after the "latest" ones I added to my cart no matter how long ago they were added?

Thanks bud. But I'm not looking for that much of a change. I just want to set it to where the "Newest Products For April" don't expire after the month is over. Instead of "Newest Products For April" I just want it to be "Newest Products".

Okay,

Just do step 2 ...

Edit catalog/includes/modules/new_products.php
Find two instances of (near lines 26 & 29) of

and month(p.products_date_added) = month(now())

and remove - it should then just give you the latest ones without the month bit.

Backup before you do this - not done it myself ...
