    Default Authorize.net Payment Module

I am currently using osCmax 2.0 RC3 and would like to use the authorize.net ADC Direct Connection payment module in one of my older osCommerce shops as well, but I cannot find the version used in isCmax 2.0 RC3. I have tried taking the files from my osCmax installation and using those, but it doesn't work (perhaps I am not copying one of the necessary files over or something). Anyway If anyone knows which exact contribution this is I would greatly appreciate a link to it.

Sorry - Removed Posting/file - as is of commercial nature.

You have to contact the author and have them change the license to be compatible with GPL.... That is why it was possably removed from OSCommerce.

It specifically states if of - commercial - you must contact the author..... this prevision - violated the GPL - which states must be freely distributed ether gratis or for charge.....

Not a problem...the guy that needed the contrib got it before you took the posting down. So did you get permission to use it in osCMax? Just curious...

No, I have not no permission from the author.
You have to contact the author.

At this point we can't allow distribution - as we comply to 100% GPL code. This code - as per the instructions is NOT GPL - thus cause it is based on osCommerce GPL code - it is illegal (or - more to the point against the license-which is a legal contract that can be taken to court) to distribute it. osCommerce and ANY GPL code also has the same type of requirement. You could have opened up your self and osCMax website owners to legal ramification by posting this code.

Try: Authorize Net AIM module (GPL) Which is the one we are based on now.

or a updated version (never tried it): Authorize.Net AIM (PCI DSS SSL V3)

The AIM module is unsatisfactory, because it does not give the shop owner the option of deciding which credit cards to accept. Since we get charged considerably more to accept AMEX we do not want to accept it from the webstore, which means the AIM module will not work. That seems like a silly licensing requirement considering the very nature of the module is commercial. Anyway I will contact the author and see what gives. I would like a straight answer however, about why this contribution is distributed in osCmax if permission has not been granted. I hope I simply didn't understand the above post correctly. It seems however, that the module is still available from this thread, so perhaps I am seriously confused.

It is no longer distributed in osCMax (RC4+), but it was not an issue for osCMax prior, as we do not sell osCMax as part of any commercial package but distribute it freely. It did place a burden on many end users of osCMax (hosts, designers, etc...) that was unfair and not in compliance with GPL.

Thus the decision to remove it from osCMax as it was not 100% GPL.

If you decide to use it in your own install, there should be no need to contact the author since you are not selling your store. We just will not distribute the code on this site, as it is potentially a licensing nightmare.
