Hey, I'd like to remove the code for loading a category image and just make the link lext much bigger.

I can't seem to find the code, can someone point me to the proper place?

We have to reload our store from stratch once a year and there are over a hundred categoreis and its a real pain to go through them each year...

    Thanks,

    Bluesin

HAVE to RELOAD every Year? From Stratch?

Did you not have a backup? Change hosts right away!

Changing text size is done in CSS. Simplest thing to "remove" category image is to point at a 1X1 blank pixel. Use EZPopulate to update your items in Excel.

No, the issue is this store sells grill parts from a company called Music City Metals. There are thousands of items that match up to nearly 50 thousand brand and models. They drop and add so much in a given year, plus price changes, etc that they just reissue the entire product catalog once a year.

So we delete everything through the store and run all of the data through some programs to make it all oscommerce friendly and reload it using easypopulate every year.

Duh, great idea on the 1x1 transparent pixel, thanks I should have thought about that...

    Thanks,

    Bluesin

Thousand of items - so you don't reload from scratch. You update with new product every year. Common for master distributors.

I hope your doing something like:
Make your new list EZPopulate compatable
    Download current/old list via EZpopulate
Load both into Access or SQL database - Mark OLD Listing and mark all items as "Out of Stock"
Run a command that Matches by model # and updates OLD with new data and marks as
    "In stock".
Run a command - That compare if item in new not exist in old - updated old with new data.

    Export CSV

    Import into store.

Don't lose histories - or break existing store.

Optionally - run an SQL command in the store to remove all "Out of stock" items.

    Good Luck!

Yes, they don't send out just deletions and just price changes, just new products, it wouldn't help anyway because we have to get all the products in a format oscommerce can handle which we do programatically to create the EP file.

The whole process only takes a few minutes now, the only real issue is the category images and getting them reloaded into the correct record in the categories table...

I am asking that DO you bring it into Access or SQL and do a match if exist. Pretty simple to do.
