Extra fields to customer account creations page

Hello all!

I would like to add extra fields (drop down menu and text field) to the customer account creation page but cannot figure out how to do so. I have been searching around but cannot really find anything.

Can you point me to some addon or contribution that can help me add some extra fields to my customer account creations page?
