Change Items on Main Page

I still don't like the 'New products for May' to be on my front page. It is controlled by what I type into the new products in admin. I want to be able to choose what to display on my front page and completely remove the words 'New Products for May'. Is there any solution to this. I would really appreciate your professional help.

The search box can be your friend if you decide to use it.

I found the solution in about 1 minute with one search phrase:
"remove new products"

The search returned 4 results, 2 of which have the solution:

You are looking to remove the new products box, so a logical keyword search is "remove new products"

Just a quick update. The link to the first one that you posted doesn't work at all. The poster directed us to look at a particular line in index.php and remove it. The line doesn't even exist.

The actual code is what is important, not the location or line number. Did you happen to see the date on the post? It is about 4 years old, so of course, the line number/location will not be correct. osCMax has had thousands of changes since then.

Doing a simple search across all the files in osCMax for DIR_WS_MODULES . FILENAME_NEW_PRODUCTS using a text editor will show you where the code lives now, and tell you every osCMax file where the code is present.

How do you search across files? Get a good text editor or search utility with that feature. Here are a couple:

Get a good search enabled text editor, so you will no longer ever have to ask "Where is this?" and get on to bigger questions like, "if an osCMax store opens in the middle of a forest, and nobody sees it, does it really open?"
