Default Easypopulate and external links

I'm trying to add links to some product descritpions using standard HTML:

Available from <a href="http://www.scalecreep.com">Scale Creep</a> but when I uplaod this through EP it acts as if this is an internal link and adds my own URL and path to it so I get the link as:

http://www.miniaturesdirectory.com/catalog/http://www.scalecreep.com"

Anyone know why it does this?

If I edit the item through the admin page the link works just fine.

What ver. of EP are you using?

Also please post the 1st 2 lines of your EP file so I can see what you talking about are you talking about the product link?

Adam

Hi Adam:

I'm using the included version 2.76

I'm not talking about the product link. I want to add hyperlinks in the product description using HTML. But EP seems to add to the links automatically. I looked through the EP files but could find no setting that would undo this.

Take a look at the links embedded in this product's description:

osCMax v2.0 : Black Hat: 15mm Biblical Armies Old Kingdom Egyptians (Figures) [1] - $0.00

Your problem is in the format:

<a href=&#34http://www.blackhat.co.uk&#34>Black Hat Miniatures</a>

Check and make sure your data file is in the correct format:

<a href= "http://www.blackhat.co.uk">Black Hat Miniatures</a>

Make sure you have a space after = that also make sure you copy the product description then Paste Special ~ Values

Hope that helps,

Adam
