Is it possible to insert product information onto the shop from another site with use of a http link ??

No, as in order to add info, you need to be logged into the admin panel. There is currently no method to do this that I am aware of.

You could use

<iframe src="http://www.oscmax.com" width="100%"></iframe>

but you need to tidy how it imports the page

I took it as they wanted to add products to the oscmax database via an html feed/link from another site, not just display another site's content on their pages.

by tidy i meant the visual appearance,

when i imported a page it appeared in a frame with a border that you had to scroll up and down left and right etc to see all the content.

also be aware that if the webpage your iframe points to is changed or up dated that your content will change also.
