Default manudacturers sub cat/range/collection

hello i wonder if anyone can help me?

i am setting up a lingerie site....

using categories for example bras > then sub cats for example balcony bra
and half cup bra

then using manufacturers for designers....the problem is i need collections
or styles within the manufacturers, to load the same way sub categories do
in categories.

You will have to set them up as a category themselves.
Best thing would be to link an item to multiple categories.
Like

Fergie (manufacturer)
Bra's (main category)
- Balcony Bra's (sub category)
- Half Cup Bra's (sub category)
These 2 have list of actuall products inside but these can be broken down to another sub category inside by manufacturer's name if you prefer/need
- Designer Collections (sub category) These would be broken down into sub categories further by either manufacturer or line name.

Hope this helps

Whoops just re read and noticed that my brain skipped over portion of your question.
>within the manufacturers

I do not personally know of any mods to allow only effecting the manufacturer sort link.
Off the top of my head you will have to custom code the files in order to achieve this.
Should be possible . Create a table in the database to store the information and include that into the manufacturers link page(s).

Go to the OSC site and search around and see if any there has done it already.

Thanks for your quick response I have managed it a different way!

I used More Category Boxes contrib osCommerce: More Category Boxes

I set one box, with normal cats and another box with manufacturers.
