Default AJAX Attribute Manager

Hi -

Has anyone used the AJAX Attribute Manager with oscMax 2? I just installed it, but when I try to edit a product I get the following error message:

Access Denied
No Right Permission Access
Please contact your Web Administrator to request
more access or if you found any problem.

This appears on the admin side where I should see the attribute fields.

Thanks,
Barb

Hmm
Just tried this out.
Catergories/Products doesn't load (blank white page)
Attribute Manger link shows in Admin. Go to that page and it has a single drop drop list (like in the Attributes page) Select item and then edit and has a grid of attributes. Unfortunately it doesn't work.

So anyone have this working?

I gave up. I just ended up playing around with the way I entered the attributes on the normal product attributes page until I had them displaying in the drop down the way I wanted.

Sorting isn't an issue.
And there is a different "mod" you can do altogether just for sort order.

Michael had posted about this contribution
but no one has it?

I have ajax attribute manager version 2.6 working great with my oscmax site and use another sort order contrib as well. The sort order in the attribute manager works for admin only. Use the other sort order contrib for catalog. Check and double check your code. Use a compare tool like beyond compare to compare the files in the contribution to your files and see what could be wrong. Usually it is something simple missed.

You wouldn't happen to have the auto thumb contribtuion installed would you?
Do you run your admin secured?
What is the other contrib you use?
Only thing I can think of off the top of my head that might be the problem. But the files this contrib changed seemed to be pure. (IE unchagned)

Good to know it does work.
Will look into it and see what is going on.

No, I don't use the auto thumb contribution and yes my admin is secured. It has been awhile since I installed the attribute manager. I am trying to remember if I had to give file access. If I get time I will look at the contrib and see where it could hang up. This is a busy time of year As far as the sort order I combined a couple so no matter what order you put your attributes in admin they will always come out the way you want. I posted on this here

Sorting your attribute option values in osCMax

Ok I am off to take a pre-determined yet undefined amount of sabaticle.

I checked and it seems that the instructions asked that you install the sort order mod they listed first then the attribute manager. If I remember correctly that caused the problems so I changed sort order based on my link in the above post and just installed as per directions that attribute manager and all worked from the start.
