    Default rewrite help needed

I am trying to do a rewrite in the .htaccess file to include articles and links manager in the current installed Ultimate seo url. I tried upgrading for the past few days to one that handles that but keep getting errors or it emptys the cart and logs out everytime you hit the home button on my local test site. I figure it is one of the contribs I added. I have perused 100's of threads with no answer for that and tried all suggestions from those threads. So now I am trying to get it to work with what we have in oscmax which is ultimate seo version 2.0 I tried the rewrites offered here in a thread by jpf and one by automotiveuk but neither did the trick. Can it be done easily?

    Default Re: rewrite help needed

Ok I have the rewrite working when updating to ultimate seo urls 2.2 on my local machine using xampp. It works with everything except when I log in and shop then I hit what would be the top button(home on mine) on the standard template. It just starts over on the home page like you are not logged in as a customer. I have checked the paths in .htaccess and both config files. I think this may be only a problem on the localhost and not on a live shop but I am not sure. Any ideas anyone? Thanks
