| hi to all, I am upgrading my oscmax 1.5.5 to oscmax 1.7.7 and i made some modifications to some includes and added a couple boxes, so i want to go as safely as possible, would you suggest backing up the database and all the includes and start with a clean installation or should I just replace older files with the new ones of the same name and check if links have changed? Plus modify all includes that have been modified? any suggestions are welcome. btw I had the same problem posted earlier a my SSL is not working ... |

| I suggest doing a fresh, second install of osCMax alongside your existing shop. Then, compare the files you modified with the v1.7 files and merge in your changes. Then copy your template files over to the 1.7 template system. Finally, do a database upgrade on your 1.5 db to bring it up to v1.7 and import your data from the old db to the new...
