Default OscMax to replace OsCommerce? A good idea?

I've installed OsCommerce (it comes set up on my webhost) but have had big problems installing the gift certificate and discount mod in it. I haven't got the php experience to unsort this tangle. My shop isn't live yet (waiting for SSL etc.) so would you recommend a fresh install of OscMax? I haven't even added the whole product catalogue so that's no big deal. there aren't any records that matter in the sql. Should i just ditch it all and start again (saving the stylesheet i built )

I would do. I too started by installing OsCommerce but soon realised with all the mods I wanted to install OscMax was by far the better option as it comes with the best of the contributions pre-installed.

I would do either OscMax or CreLoaded rather than the vanilla OsCommerce, if you are planning on installing any of these mods.

Is there documentation to change n OSC 2.2 over to the latest Max? I saw the docs for 2.1, but wonder if you have anything for 2.2.

    Thanks!

Mostly your better off clearing out your OLD OSC and install MAX. Unless you have alot of info in already in OSC...... Then converting the DATABASE would be needed....

    Good Luck
