Default Dutch language files for osCmax?

Is there a Dutchlanguage pack for the current version 1.7 of osC MAX?
Otherwise i would be happy to donate it when finished...

Allready have some experience with the "normal" oscommerce ms2.2 but i think i cannot just overwrite files for i read and saw quiete some add-ons in this MAX version; that was a reason to have a good look at it.. and especially the Template part....that gives people pretty fast a good looking site, something that is always appreciated by others and especially by clients, for most of the time, all they want to see when developing there webshop is the front-design.

What did i do up to now:
copied and renames the English dir in includes/languages/ and named it Dutch. Copied and renamed the other files in there to a dutch version...

Guess translating it all will take time but oke.....,...

Please report possible pittfalls i overlooked.... THANKS!
    hope this helps ...

    Hi,

There is not a ductch language pack as of yet, but would be happy to include your translation when finished.

You are doing it right right. You can save yourself a lot of time by downloading the osC 2.2 dutch language pack from the osCommerce web site and installing it. Then, just copy over the files and defines that are missing (the new defines in max) from the dutch language pack and translate those. I figure it can save you many hours.

hi, well thanks.. i was hoping for that.....
but just to be sure: i can just overright my files and then only check what is left untouched: THese file are the add=ons that are in the MAX version?? i thought you had added or changed the "standard" files too....///
And: i can do this both for the Admin and the Catalog files??

    Thanks....
    hope this helps ...

    Default Dutch language file problems

    Hi again,,,

well i tried do do a copy-paste overwrite action..... added Dutch as a language et cetera....
It saved time on first look, and works...in a way, allthough you need to do
a find and insert some defines'TITLE' like stuff but that isn;t a problem...
But somehow the application get's mixed up.....

Like the login and registration: it always comes up with a basic teb text page saying there is a duplicate entry..
Same happens by the way when i add Dutch as a language even when i do not! use the same sort number....
( maybe it is an autoincrement field )?

I am still in favour of this application instead of using the basic Oscommerce app with STS template system and add the ADD-ons later....

But on the other hand, this feels a bit messy but maybe i have just to DEL ALL , and start from a newly extracted source..
    hope this helps ...

It is really very easy to do.

Install the MS2 Dutch Language pack. Then copy the missing files from the english dir to the Dutch dir, so that you do not get any file missing errors. You will not be overwriting any files. The missing files that you copy are only files that are not already there.

Then, the tedious part is to manually translate the english files that you copied.
