?? -Get "White Pages" when i try to switch languag

Hi!

I belive I have done everything the way I suppose too..(obviusly im not..)

Well, the problem is that ,if I try to change the language to Swedish, all I get are white pages, when I browse "/catalog", and "/admin"..

if I add "/?language=en" after "/catalog", then the white pages suddenly goes away, replaced by the original-files in english. But If I try /?language=se, then the white pages are there again...

(ive used up a-l-o-t of hours manually turn every .php-file in the languages-dir from english to swedish, but got white pages, so try it more basic first:

latest try to get it to work was:

/Fresh Install MAX1.7/

-copied, and renamed in both the /catalog, and /admin -folders:

****/catalog/includes/languages/english
(renamed to :/languages/svenska)

****/catalog/includes/languages/add_ccgvdc_english
(renamed to: /add_ccgvdc_svenska)

****/catalog/includes/languages/affiliate_english
(renamed to: /affiliate_svenska)

****/catalog/includes/languages/english
(renamed to: /svenska)


same changes to the /admin/includes/languages/english
(renamed to svenska)
etc, etc..


What could the problem be when theres just a blank page?

(i have told the program via admin that there is a new language etc)
(its when I choose "svenska" in admin, that the pages go blank)

Puh!

-Any ideas? Would be great if I could get this going!

Hi,

Of course they worked with the statdard osC 2.2, they were specifically written for it. You need to look at your error logs. You are getting a php error somewhere.

You probably have files missing, since there are several dozen more files in osCMax that the language dir needs to have. You should compare the Swedish dir to the English dir and add any missing files to the Swedish dir...

argh!..

-with un-modified, original language-files: Haven´t added or deleted anything..

English version works glorius,:

-Then, I just re-name these catalog-files:

dir english to svenska
file add_ccgvdc_english.php to add_ccgvdc_svenska.php

file affiliate_english.php to affiliate_svenska.php

file english.php to svenska.php

, then, when i choose svenska as language.. its all the same.. white page..
(in admin, there´s no problem in doing this)

I feel like: "hm, perhaps there are a file somewhere, where one should add the
"se"-thingy, so the oscMax "reqognize the new language?

Perhaps its just problems with the name "svenska", ill try to rename the files
to "swedish"... If that wont work, Ill wipe out the catalog once again, and
start all over..

-Wich file is most likely to cause the "white page"-problem?

(ive read somewhere, that white space, in the beginning or end
of php-files might cause this problem. But then again, why does
it work again, as soon as I re-rename the files back to english???

k. Got it working. strange. Did the same thing that i tried several times before.

Wonder if my ftp-program sometimes skips some files? nah.. that cant be it.?

Well! Guess I have to to the translation all over once again.. puh..
