max 1.5 to 1.7 upgrade

HI i've set up a 1.5 shop and now I want to use the extra features of 1.7 and the updated bts. But all of the upgrade packs go from 1.5.5 not 1.5 how do i get from max 1.5 to 1.7? Thanks all

Install a fresh 1.7 and upgrade the 1.5 database to match the 1.7 structure, then copy over your customer, order, and product data to the new 1.7 db.

I installed a fresh 1.7 with no previos database - orders, customers, etc. The top of the "home page" says: "This is the AABox MS2-MAX v1.7.0 distribution of osCommerce 2.2 MS2. This version was originally constructed by Michael Sasek for AABox Web Hosting."

However, the footer says: "Powered by MS2-MAX 1.5.5". How do I know for sure if I have 1.7?

Also, the 1.7 readme file (AABox.com osCMax V1.7 (September 2004) says that the "Contributions included in osCMax V1.7" include PayPal Shopping Cart IPN v1.6.

However, the item # 24 on the "home page" says "Paypal IPN Module 0.98 :: Use PayPal IPN to keep track of your sales". Again, how do I know which version of the IPN do I have?

You have 1.7. The footer was just not updated. If you downloaded 1.7 from this site, you can be sure of it.

Ok here is a question. How do we know what database structures are different?

Also where are the upgrade scripts for 1.5.5?? I have looked and I cant find them.
