Default 2 Warning: statements after successful install...

Install required changes in the absolute file paths to get the site working.
All seems to be working but I am getting these errors on the fromt page:

Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /var/subdomain/dev/html/catalog/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file.

CHMOD is correct on this file...

Warning: The downloadable products directory does not exist: /catalog/download/. Downloadable products will not work until this directory is valid.

The directory is there and CHMOD 755

    Any thoughts?
    Thanks

    Default

I solved both issues, kind of...

The first I turned off, the second, I adjusted the file path in the config file.
