Default updating product descriptions???

I hope someone can help me with this. I'm setting up a new site, and i have 2071 different products. My previous site was not dynamic, all of my content was static. Which presents me with the problem of importing my product descriptions into my database. Is there a way that i can copy text files into my DB or link text files to my products in oscommerce? Even if it's a php script that can read the content and display it whould be very helpful. All of my description pages are named after the corresponding product id, if that's helpful at all. Any ideas?

It is not in a database now - the ONE thing you could try is a text cut'n paste then format it a bit (using search & replace if there are consitant "text" strings that separate the data)

Import into EXCEL or such and try exporting to CVS - ONCE you get it into a database format of some kind then it would be a snap to format it for EasyPopulate to accept.

It will not be easy - but with a little luck and a bit of trial and error on just a fe items - then the balance should be easier.

Good Luck
