Default Admin tool install problem

I installed MS2-MAX 1.5.5 (supposedly successfully) and the catalog appears to work but I get the following error when trying to log into the admin tool.

Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user: 'aehf@localhost' (Using password: NO) in /home/aehf/public_html/catalog/admin/includes/functions/database.php on line 19
Unable to connect to database server!

The configure.php files were written out and DO have the username / password in them.

Perhaps I need to start from scratch again ??? Arghhh

Check the /admin/includes/configure.php file. It is not using a password to connect to the database (that is what the error is telling you). The login credentials are not correct.

The configure.php file has the correct username/password combo.
Curiously, the /catalog/includes/configure.php has the same info and it works !
The error only happens when trying to invoke the /catalog/admin/index.php script.

Perhaps it is related to the use of the IP address instead of the word 'localhost'.
I have not changed the DNS to point to the new host yet, so I have to use the IP number in some places. When I did NOT use 'localhost' anywhere, both the catalog and the admin tool were broken after installation'.

I have finished copying everything over to the new host now, so I should probably just change the DNS and that may help fix the problem.

I found the problem
There was another configure.php file in /catalog/admin/includes/local/
that needed to be filled out like the one in /catalog/admin/includes/

I just copied the one from there to the 'local' subdirectory and the admin tool started working.
